What we don't collect

• No ID numbers, ever.
• No accounts, names, addresses, or email addresses.
• No cookies for tracking. We use no advertising trackers.
• Geolocation (when you tap "use my location") stays on your device. Coordinates never leave the browser.

What we do collect

• Anonymous, aggregated event counts (page loaded, quiz started, answer picked). No IP addresses stored.
• Your quiz streak is stored on your device in localStorage — you can clear it any time.

Third-party links

We link out to the IEC, City of Johannesburg, City-owned entities, provincial and national departments, and independent media. Their privacy policies apply once you leave this site.

Your POPIA rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. Because we don't hold any personal information, there's nothing to request — but you can email us anyway at privacy@whorunsjoburg.co.za.

Complaints

You may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.
